Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) is an energy-efficient heating and cooling system that transfers heat between the indoor environment and the outdoor air. Unlike conventional heating systems that generate heat by burning fossil fuels or using electrical resistance, ASHPs work by moving existing thermal energy from one place to another using a refrigeration cycle. This makes them significantly more energy-efficient than traditional systems, as they can provide up to 3-4 units of heat for every unit of electricity consumed
