This causes the refrigerant to heat up and change from liquid to gas. The gas then goes through a compressor, which adds more heat. The compressed hot gas enters a heat exchanger, where the refrigerant transfers its heat to cold air or water, which is then circulated around the house to provide heating. The refrigerant condenses back to the cold liquid and the cycle repeats. Zero carbon emissions if used with renewable electricity tariffs.
