How does this work
Solar heat pump water heaters use heat from the ambient air around the system, and reverse the cooling process to heat the water. This means no sunlight exposure is required, and more importantly, it is so efficient that it can provide reliable hot water 24 hours a day, even at temperatures as low as -10°C, without the need for booster elements. 1. The sun heats the air. Heat pumps rely on ambient air temperature rather than occasional sunlight. Using the principle of refrigeration, heat pumps can extract heat from the air without requiring direct sunlight, and can produce hot water in the presence of rain, hail or sunlight without the need for a booster element. 2. Energized air is introduced into the heat pump. Once the air is drawn into the heat pump, it passes through an evaporator containing refrigerant, which boils at a very low temperature. The boiling refrigerant is then compressed, causing its temperature to rise and even further convert it into superheated steam. 3. Energy is transferred to heating cold water. Using tank wrapping technology, this superheated steam is fed through a copper coil (condenser) wrapped around the outside of the tank to heat the water evenly and efficiently from outside to inside. 4. Cold air is exhausted. Once the heat is extracted from the air and transferred to the water, the remaining cool air is expelled from the heat pump by a fan. Once the desired water temperature is reached, the system will enter an energy-saving standby mode until it is time to start heating again.
