Kingrail Parts can supply four types of railway wheelsets for passenger cars, urban rail vehicles, wagons and mine carts.
1. Passenger car wheelset
There are two main types of wheelsets used for passenger car bogies: powered and non-powered.
A powered wheelset consists of a drive unit, while a non-powered wheelset, which is driven as a driven, does not provide traction.
Common passenger car wheel braking methods are wheel-disc braking and axle-disc braking, and sometimes tread braking is also used.
Passenger wheelsets are manufactured and inspected strictly according to TB/T 1718 and EN 13260 standards.
2. Urban rail vehicle wheelset
The urban rail vehicle wheelset is a variant of the passenger wheelset.
Differences include lower operating speeds of up to 120 km/h. In addition, brakes are most common during operation, with heavy tread wear and requiring regular maintenance.
3. Wagon wheelset
Wagon wheelsets run poorly with heavy wheel loads.
The tread braking mode is usually applied to a wagon wheelset.
Simple to manufacture and inspect in accordance with TB/T 1718 and EN 13260.
4. Mine cart wheelset
They are used in mining vehicle wheelsets with harsh operating conditions and are available in different wheelset types to suit various conditions.
