The 8 ton geothermal heat pump is one of the smallest cabinets in the industry and fits easily into tight spaces. Designed to be backward compatible with thousands of older water source heat pumps. Geothermal heat pumps are available in sizes from 7 tons (82 kW) to 25 tons (300 kW), with a variety of units available for most installations. Geothermal heat pumps have an extended range refrigerant loop and can be used in geothermal ground loop applications (with optional extended range insulation) as well as boiler tower water loop applications. Standard features include: high efficiency scroll compressor, microprocessor control, galvanized steel cabinet, galvanized steel with epoxy powder painted drain pan and acoustic air handler insulation. Heat Controller's exclusive dual-isolated compressor mounting system makes our geothermal heat pumps the quietest units on the market. The compressor is mounted with rubber vibration isolators to a heavy duty mounting plate which is further isolated from the cabinet base with rubber gaskets to minimize vibration/sound attenuation. The easily accessible control box and large access panel make installation and maintenance of the unit easier than other water source heat pumps currently in production, proving that small units can be easily serviced. Our range of geothermal heat pumps has a variety of options such as electronically coated air coils. An optional high static fan motor extends operating range and helps overcome some of the challenges associated with retrofitting installed ductwork. Copper-nickel water coils and sound-absorbing silencer packs are options that make a great setup even better.
